KSY Family

Mazel Tov to Amatsia & Melanie Spigler & Family on the birth of a baby boy this past Sunday. The Spiglers would like to announce that they are having a shalom zachor in their home at 14a/2 Nachal Katlav after dinner on Friday night.

Melanie Spigler has been organizing meals for a long time for KSY wives who had recently given birth. Now is our turn to pay back her chesed. Anyone interested in making a meal or part of a Shabbos (starting next Shabbos) please contact Ruti Aronstam 992-2889 or Yocheved Nadell 992-4468. In addition, goodies for their Shalom Zachor would be great! Please bring them to the Spigler home at 14a/2 Nachal Katlav.

Late Start to Shabbos Shacharis

You've worked hard the entire week. Now KSY lets you get a little more sleep on Shabbos morning: KSY Shacharis will now start at 08:15 for the duration of the summer, with שוכן עד at 08:45.

Choleh List & KSY Database Online

In order to make the mi shebeirach for cholim a little more efficient, KSY now maintains a list of cholim via the internet. Current Names on list can be seen at http://www.ksy.org.il/cholim.asp. Please note that names that have not been updated for more than 2 months will not be announced. You can update a name by notifying the KSY Secretary or by logging into your account and editing the older Cholim records.

Protecting the Gan

A friendly reminder to the Kehilla: The toys and fixtures in the gan are not the property of the Kehilla.

• Please don't allow you children to play with the toys within the gan.
• Please be careful with all the children's projects on the walls (the children have been very sad when they come in on Sunday and see their projects have been damaged).
• Please do not play in or on the guardhouse in the front of the gan.
• The children are permitted to play on the toy structures in the sand area. But the Rav would like to remind the kehilla that the children may not dig in the sand. A parent should prevent his child of any age from digging in the sand on Shabbos. Every adult should attempt to stop any child from digging as long as the child is old enough to understand that there are some things that are forbidden to do on Shabbos

Did you know? Everyone who is called to the Torah on Shabbos or Yom Tov gets one free mi sheberach. The Gabbai will then offer the Oleh l'Torah an optional 2nd mi sheberach. If one accepts the Gabbai’s offer, the custom in our Kehilla is to obligate oneself to make a modest donation.  Please turn to any of the gabboim if you should have a question about this.
