New! Rav Haber Motzei Shabbos Shiurim: New Heights in Tefilah

Rav Haber will be presenting a series of shiruim on improving the power of your davening. The series will examine the entire structure of Shacharis from a kabbalistic, halachic and mussar perspective. Understand Tefilah as you never did before!

The shiurim will be given on Motza'ei Shabbos and are scheduled to start on Motza'ei Shabbos Parshas Chayei Sarah (22-Nov-08). Part one of the series will be 5 weeks long. Each shiur will be self contained and cover a discrete part of the davening. Therefore, if you can't make all the shiurim, you will still benefit from the series. Looking for a Sefer Torah

Kehillas Shivtei Yeshurun has two Sifrei Torah on long-term loan. Unfortunately, the owner of one of these Torahs has requested it back. We are therefore in need of another Sefer Torah.

If you know of a Torah looking for a home, either on a permanent or long-term basis, please contact a gabbai or any of the Vaad members as soon as possible.

Welcome new Members: Kutliroff Family

This week we would like to welcome Elisha and Fraidy Kutliroff as new members of the Kehilla. They live on Nachal Micha with their children Naama and Eliyahu.  They moved to the neighborhood from Har Nof 3 years ago, and are excited to be part of the warm and exciting community of Kehillat Shivtei Yeshurun.  Even more so, they are very interested in growing with the shul, and hoping to see it built up soon with a building and a bursting kehilla.  We look forward to having them as part of our Kehilla!

Be a member of the Kehilla - not just one of the tzibur

With the entry of the new Jewish year 5769, we are also ushering in the new Kehillas Shivtei Yeshurun membership year. Membership dues are the primary resource that enables us to provide the various services to the members of our kehilla. Our official membership year is from September to August. Therefore, the membership for most current members is up for renewal.

Show your support for the direction that our kehilla is growing in and consider becoming a member. Dues are 140₪ per month and can be paid in installments. Please contact our treasurer Avraham Nadell at anadell@nadell.org to join - or stay part of - our kehilla.

Thank you for all those who bid on aliyos for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur.
Your support provides critical funding for the shul.

Please consider allowing us to announce your name when thanking you for your donation. Public donations tend to encourage others to follow your lead when they see the efforts of others.

Reminder: Dues at KSY are 140 shekels per month. Please help the Kehilla by keeping your membership payments current. Please contact Avraham Nadell, the KSY Treasurer, with questions about the status of your account.

Did you know? Everyone who is called to the Torah on Shabbos or Yom Tov gets one free mi sheberach. The Gabbai will then offer the Oleh l'Torah an optional 2nd mi sheberach. If one accepts the Gabbai’s offer, the custom in our Kehilla is to obligate oneself to make a modest donation.  Please turn to any of the gabboim if you should have a question about this.

Reminder: KSY can accept US Dollar payments with a credit card via American Friends of Kehillas Shivtei Yeshurun.  See the donation page online: www.afoksy.com/donate
