Purim Thank Yous

Kehillas Shivtei Yeshurun wishes to thank the following people for their hard work in making this past Purim so enjoyable and successful:

• Mrs. Hadassa Feinberg and Mrs. Beryl Tritel for all their effort in the excellent green-friendly Mishloach Manos Campaign, and making this year's campaign a financially successful fund raising event.
• Baruch Bergenfeld of Baruch Music Works (baruch@baruchmusicworks.info) for his great musicial arrangements and performance at the Rav's new home.
• Ariel Isaacson for his simcha and song generated from his keyboard at the Rav's new home, and guest appearance of a the lively R' Avraham Willig.
• Mordechai Eliyahu Seltzer for managing Yeshivas Mordechai Hatzadik (Avos uBanim).
• Rav and Rebbetzin Haber for opening up their house to the kehilla - only a few hours after unpacking - for the fun after-the-seuda Purim Event.

Shabbos Program for Boys Ages 4-7!

We are pleased to announce the continuation of the exciting afternoon program for boys of ages 4-7, organized by Yossi Haber.

There will be games, a story, devar Torah and more!! 2 hours before shekiah, until just before Mincha.

There will also be a short program for boys during the Rav's devar torah on Friday night.

Both programs will be held at Shivtei Yeshurun, 10A Dolev.

KSY Parnosso Project

In light of the fact that a number of KSY members and friends are currently looking for work, Rav Haber is interested in using his network to help the situation. Please assemble your CV, a generic cover letter and a short job description title (e.g., Accountant, Web designer) and send them all to Rav Haber (yhaber@torahlab.org). Rav Haber plans to reach out to his many contacts to see how people can be helped.

Matzo Baking

HOT OUT OF THE OVEN: Join the Kehillas Shivtei Yeshurun Matzo Baking Chabura at the Kiryas Sefer Matzo Bakery. IY"H Rav Haber will head our team of dedicated mashgichim and we will have the opportunity to take part in every stage of the production of machine matzos, and of course, to buy the matzos that we bake.

Please join us in this mitzvoh, which in the past has shown itself to be a fun and educational experience for all who take part. Recommended for boys and men ages 9 and up.*

The baking will take place on Rosh Chodesh Nisan Thu 26-Mar-09 at 18:00. There will be approximately 110kg of matzos available for purchase at 68S62;/kg.

• You do not have to buy matzo to participate in the baking.**
• You do not have to participate in the baking in order to buy matzo.

*Preparation is around machines that can be dangerous if safety rules are not followed. Please do not send children that cannot observe safety rules and follow instructions from adults.

Gemora Chaburah

Join the Kehillas Shivtei Yeshurun gemora chaburah! Chaburah chavrusas meet on Monday night at 20:45 and Friday morning at 08:45 at Ateres Shaul (1 Shvil Hagichon, corner Dolev), covering approximately three amudim per week on Maseches Avoda Zara.

Rabbi Haber gives a b'iyun shiur (halacha and aggada) Wed. nights at 20:45. The shiurim are available in MP3 format on the KSY audio page at www.ksy.org.il/audio.asp.

Choleh List & KSY Database Online

In order to make the mi shebeirach for cholim a little more efficient, KSY now maintains a list of cholim via the internet. Current names on the list can be seen at http://www.ksy.org.il/cholim.asp. Please note that names that have not been updated for more than 2 months will not be announced. You can update a name by notifying the KSY Secretary or by logging into your account and editing the older Cholim records.

Rav Haber Online

Can't get enough of the Rav's Torah? Listening to his MP3 shiurim is almost as good as being there. The Rav has given a number of thought provoking shiurim as part of his Tefilla Series and the Mesechta Avoda Zora chaburah that are available at www.ksy.org.il/audio.asp. Special Tefillos

In the light of the severe lack of rainfall this winter, Rav Haber asks all of us to include the extra tefilla for rain (Va'aneinu Borei Olam) in our amida, in birkas sh'ma koleinu. The nusach for this prayer can be found in most siddurim printed in Israel, usually inside the text of the amida for shacharis, if not other tefillos. May Hashem answer our prayers!

Weekday Minyonim New Late Shacharis

Come join KSY's new 2nd minyan at 06:45 (Yishtabach 07:00) at 1 Shvil haGichon. Rav Haber generally shares some Torah thoughts after davening. Start your day off on the right foot.
