Welcome Kiddush

Kehillas Shivtei Yeshurun is excited that Rav and Rebbetzin Haber have moved to RBS-A. In their honor, we invite the kehilla to a special Kiddush after Shacharis davening this Shabbos, Parshas Vayakhel/Pekudei (around 10:45) at 10a Dolev. Come and meet the Rav and Rebbetzin and get acquainted with our friendly kehilla.

Rav Haber's Pesach Shiurim

In preparation for Pesach, Rav Yaacov Haber will be giving two more shiurim on Sunday nights (not Motza’ei Shabbos) at 20:30 as follows:

• 22-Mar: Preparing for Pesach
• 29-Mar: The Pesach Seder

As he did with the successful "New Heights in Tefilla series", Rav Haber will draw from his broad knowledge of halacha, agaddah, kabbalah and other sources to give over a rich understanding of Pesach.

 The shiurim are scheduled to take place at Kehillas Shivtei Yeshurun at 10A Nachal Dolev, and are open for men and women.

Stay tuned for the start of another series to start after Pesach.

Shabbos Program for Boys Ages 4-7!

We are pleased to announce the continuation of the exciting afternoon program for boys of ages 4-7, organized by Yossi Haber.

There will be games, a story, devar Torah and more!! 2 hours before shekiah, until just before Mincha.

There will also be a short program for boys during the Rav's devar torah on Friday night.

Both programs will be held at Shivtei Yeshurun, 10A Dolev.

KSY Parnosso Project

In light of the fact that a number of KSY members and friends are currently looking for work, Rav Haber is interested in using his network to help the situation. Please assemble your CV, a generic cover letter and a short job description title (e.g., Accountant, Web designer) and send them all to Rav Haber (yhaber@torahlab.org). Rav Haber plans to reach out to his many contacts to see how people can be helped.

Matzo Baking

Join the KSY hand matzo baking chaburas* at Beit Knesset Feiginson in Beit Shemesh and bring home your own hand-baked matzo! KSY will have two chaburas:

• Session A: Monday 23 March, at 17:00.
• Session B: Thursday 26 March, at 20:00

Each chabura is restricted to a maximum of 18 adults (men and women, bar/bas mitzva and up) and the matzos produced by the chabura will be evenly divided by the adult participants (about 10 per adult). The cost to enter the chabura and for a share of the matzos is 60S62; per adult.

Boys and girls in Grade 2 and higher may participate without charge.**

For those of you that want perfect hand-baked matzos without the tircha, the Kehillas has arranged a group purchase of Badatz Eida Charedis supervised Hand Matzos at 90 S62;/kg. 

Your Action NOW:

1. Write to Shaul Behr sbehr@sabreton.com to book your place for either of the two matzo baking chaburos, indicating which session, and how many participants - male/female, adults/children.
2. Bring cash or an open check to any gabbai or vaad member by the end of the 06:45 shacharis on Sunday 29 March to secure your hand matzo order. No matzos will be purchased without pre-payment in full.

*The machine matzo chabura at the Kiryat Sefer factory has been cancelled. If you want to participate in this new chabura, you must make a new reservation.
**Children must be responsible enough to follow instructions and not behave inappropriately.  Parents whose children are disrupting the chabura will be asked to leave with their children. Because there is no charge for children, they will not receive a share in the matzos baked.

Gemora Chaburah

Join the Kehillas Shivtei Yeshurun gemora chaburah! Chaburah chavrusas meet on Monday night at 20:45 and Friday morning at 08:45 at Ateres Shaul (1 Shvil Hagichon, corner Dolev), covering approximately three amudim per week on Maseches Avoda Zara.

Rabbi Haber gives a b'iyun shiur (halacha and aggada) Wed. nights at 20:45. The shiurim are available in MP3 format on the KSY audio page at www.ksy.org.il/audio.asp.

Choleh List & KSY Database Online

In order to make the mi shebeirach for cholim a little more efficient, KSY now maintains a list of cholim via the internet. Current names on the list can be seen at http://www.ksy.org.il/cholim.asp. Please note that names that have not been updated for more than 2 months will not be announced. You can update a name by notifying the KSY Secretary or by logging into your account and editing the older Cholim records.

Rav Haber Online

Can't get enough of the Rav's Torah? Listening to his MP3 shiurim is almost as good as being there. The Rav has given a number of thought provoking shiurim as part of his Tefilla Series and the Mesechta Avoda Zora chaburah that are available at www.ksy.org.il/audio.asp. Reminder: Daylight Savings time begins on Friday morning at 02:00 in one week (27-Mar-09 ). On Thursday night, remember to set your clocks forward one hour.

Special Tefillos

In the light of the severe lack of rainfall this winter, Rav Haber asks all of us to include the extra tefilla for rain (Va'aneinu Borei Olam) in our amida, in birkas sh'ma koleinu. The nusach for this prayer can be found in most siddurim printed in Israel, usually inside the text of the amida for shacharis, if not other tefillos. May Hashem answer our prayers!

Weekday Minyonim New 06:45 Shacharis

Come join KSY's new 2nd minyan at 06:45 (Yishtabach 07:00) at 1 Shvil haGichon. Rav Haber generally shares some Torah thoughts after davening. Start your day off on the right foot.

Reminder: Daylight savings time begin on Thursday night/Friday morning. Based on Daylight Savings Time, the first Shacharis will be an hour later on Friday.
