Seating Changes

Due to the high temperatures in the shul during Shabbos day, we are experimenting with the location of the women's section. This Shabbos, the women's section has been moved to the rear of the men's section. During the shiur, the kitchen area will also be available for women. We hope that this change will allow the air conditioner to operate properly, as the mechitza was previously blocking the airflow.

At the end of Shabbos, we invite you to comment on the setup. Either speak directly to a vaad member, or post your comments on the KSY forum at http://forum.ksy.org.il/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=361

KSY Summer Home!

A place of our own (kind of)! As of this past Tuesday night, all davening, shiurim and chaburos have moved to 10a Nachal Dolev (our regular Shabbos location). We hope that this is the first of short number of moves until we move into a more proper place to house our thriving kehilla. If you have any suggestions on how to make our stay in the gan more pleasant, please contact one of the Gabboim or Vaad members.

Support YOUR Kehilla!

Baruch Hashem, Kehillas Shivtei Yeshurun has experienced tremendous growth and we have significantly increased our programming and activities, from the Rav's weekly Pirkei Avos shiur and Rav Yechiel's daily Brachos gemora chabura to a second shacharis and now a daily maariv. Despite our growth in numbers, membership dues provide less than half of our monthly expenses. We rely heavily on donations from members and friends for the rest of our funding. Please consider the shul in your maaser and tzedakah donations. If you are interested in Israeli or US tax receipts, please contact our treasurer, Avraham Nadell at 054-244-8012. T'zku l'mitzvos!

Choleh List & KSY Database Online

In order to make the mi shebeirach for cholim a little more efficient, KSY now maintains a list of cholim via the internet. Current names on the list can be seen at http://www.ksy.org.il/cholim.asp. Please note that names that have not been updated for more than 2 months will not be announced. You can update a name by notifying the KSY Secretary or by logging into your account and editing the older Cholim records.

Rav Haber Online

Can't get enough of the Rav's Torah? Listening to his MP3 shiurim is almost as good as being there. The Rav has given a number of thought provoking shiurim as part of his Tefilla Series and the Mesechta Avoda Zora chaburah that are available at www.ksy.org.il/audio.asp. Topics include: "What is bracha", "Krias Shema - Oneness with Hashem", "Giving Thanks", "When is my tefilla accepted", "The Goal of Olam haZeh", "Using the forces of Heaven" and many more.

KSY Parnosso Project

In light of the fact that a number of KSY members and friends are currently looking for work, Rav Haber is interested in using his network to help the situation. Please assemble your CV, a generic cover letter and a short job description title (e.g., Accountant, Web designer) and send them all to Rav Haber (yhaber@torahlab.org). Rav Haber plans to reach out to his many contacts to see how people can be helped.

Contacting Rav Haber

Rav Haber is available for shealos, eitzah, etc. on a daily basis from 18:00-19:00 or whenever urgent matters please call anytime 052-539-5216. The Rav can be reached by email at yhaber@torahlab.org, but please allow at least 48 hours for a thoughtful response. If the issue requires discussion, the Rav would prefer to speak in person rather than both email and phone. Please feel free to contact the Rav via email or phone to setup an appointment for a meeting.
